Dr. Irina Atkinson, senior researcher in the department of Oxide Compounds and Materials Science, has experience in the following materials characterization techniques: X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), IR spectroscopy, and solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS-NMR) and synthesis of materials (sol-gel, hydrothermal). She has published over 85 scientific papers, out of which 25 are as the main author; she has an h-index 14 and 3 patents. She has coordinated one National Project and one Joint Research Project between the Romanian Academy and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
