Beatriz Appezzato-da-Glória graduated with a bachelor's degree in Agronomic Engineering from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ) of the University of São Paulo (1984) and received master's (1988) and doctorate (1993) degrees in Biological Sciences (Botany—Plant Anatomy) from the Institute of Biosciences of the University of São Paulo (IBUSP). Since 2006, she has been a Full Professor at the University of São Paulo. Her research topics include histopathology with structural and ultrastructural approaches and thickened underground organs. She has been recognized among the top 100 academics in Latin America and is included in the Top 100 Agriculture and Forestry Scientists 2022 ranking, which is based on the AD Scientific Index.
