Lidia Andrades is Associate Professor at the University of Extremadura, Spain. Her research is related to tourism destination competitiveness, tourism destinations policy and planning. Her work has appeared in leading international tourism journals such as Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research, International Journal of Hospitality and Contemporary Management, Tourism Analysis, or Journal of Sustainable Tourism. She has experience as international project leader, having been the head of the European Union funded project NETOUR, involved a consortium of 16 research organizations across 6 different countries. Recently, worked for State Trading Company, SEGITTUR, on the strategic managerial model for smart tourism destinations.
