Andrea Nardini (nardiniok@gmail.com ), Italian, hydraulic engineer (Politecnico di Milano, I), is specialized in System Analysis applied to water resources' management and holds a PhD in fluvial geomorphology from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (Spain). He is co-founder and first Technical Director of the Italian Centre for River Restoration (CIRF, Venezia; www.cirf.org) and is, at present, director of the Fundación CREACUA (Colombia). He advises governmental institutions, Universities, research centers and international NGOs through applied research projects featuring: complex environmental issues, decision making, sustainable development, interest conflicts and particularly river management and restoration. He is the author of several papers and books.
