Associate professor, Ph.D.
Dept. of Industrial Engineering, University of Salerno, Italy.
Via Giovanni Paolo II, 132, 84084, Fisciano (SA), Italy.
Born in Salerno in 1975, he holds a degree cum laude in mechanical engineering, 1999, from the University of Salerno. His doctorate at the Technical University of Delft (NL) defended a dissertation entitled "Towards predicting (dis)comfort performance by modeling: methods and findings". He worked for FIAT Automobiles in 2001 and 2002 as a product development methodologist. Between 2001 and 2004, he developed his research activities in Italy and abroad on vehicle experimental analysis: Delft (Olanda)— TNO Research Center—Feb 2002 and Feb 2004; Detroit (U.S.A.) — FIAT R/D—Mar 2002; Ispra (Italia) —JRC—Joint Research Center—Sep 2002. Since 2002, he has been an assistant professor and, since 2018, an associate professor at the University of Salerno (Italy) in industrial design methods. He has been chairman and invited plenary speaker at several international conferences on topics about human factors and ergonomics, industrial design methods, and comfort-driven design. He is an associated editor of several journals in the area of HFES (Applied Ergonomics, Work, Human Factors and Ergonomics Journal, etc.).
His research activity mainly concerns virtual prototyping methods development for industrial engineering based on unconventional design theories. His main effort is towards studies about Simulation, Ergonomics and Comfort.
