Prof. Dr. Aletta D. Kraneveld Division of Pharmacology, Utrecht Institute for Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Science, Utrecht University Since 2016 Aletta Kraneveld is appointed as full professor Interdisciplinary Translational Pharmacology at the Faculty of Science of the Utrecht University. She has published >155 scientific papers (H-index: 50; citations > 7525). In addition, Kraneveld is vice dean research at the Faculty of Science of the Utrecht University, Utrecht, the Netherlands The Kraneveld group is focusing research into in-depth study the role of the gut-immune system-brain-axis to further enhance knowledge on the interaction of intestinal microbiota, systemic immune and nervous systems in neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders. Aletta Kraneveld has set up a research program that is a (inter)national neuro-immune platform where academia, patient organizations and industry meet for research on the gut-immune-brain axis as target for medicine and medical food concepts.
