Dr. David Algermissen is the Head of the Department for Secondary Raw Materials/Slag Metallurgy, FEhS-Institut für Baustoff-Forschung e.V. He studied metallurgy at the University of Duisburg-Essen and has been working at the FEhS Institute for Building Materials Research since 2013. After two years as head of the smelting laboratory, he took over the management of the department in 2015 and has since been responsible for national and international projects to improve the circular economy and environmental compatibility of by-products from the iron and steel industry.
