Thècle Alix is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering (I2M), CNRS UMR 5295, France. She received her PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Bordeaux in 2001. Her research focuses on the design, management, and transformation of industrial systems towards more sustainable, resource-efficient, and service-oriented models. Her work covers production planning and control, service engineering, product-service systems (PSS), and the functional economy, with a particular emphasis on decision-support methods for industry. She has developed approaches and tools to integrate performance, value creation, and sustainability into industrial and service systems. More recently, her research has addressed reconfigurable manufacturing systems, circular economy strategies, and end-of-life management to support industrial resilience and resource conservation. Her work combines systems engineering, operations management, and sustainability perspectives through both theoretical developments and industrial collaborative projects.
