Currently, I am a PhD student in Environmental Health Sciences at the Escuela de Salud Pública de México (ESPM). I have a special interest in studying the exposure and health effects of pesticides and other endocrine disruptors as well as public policy regarding them. Also, another of my interests is the study of the human microbiome. During my master's studies I investigated changes in the respiratory virome in people infected with HIV and pneumonia, using mass sequencing techniques. I carried out this project in the Departamento de Investigación en Enfermedades Infecciosas (CIENI) of the Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Respiratorias (INER).
