Dr. Mohammed Almesfer is a Professor and researcher specializing in reaction engineering, reactor design, and catalysis, with impactful contributions across environmental protection, water treatment, adsorption-based CO₂ capture, and renewable/low-carbon energy. He has held multiple academic leadership roles—including Dean of the College of Engineering, Dean of the College of Architecture & Planning, Head of Chemical Engineering, and Head of Mining Engineering—and has served as Editor-in-Chief of Frontiers in Engineering and Built Environment (FEBE) since 2019. His research portfolio includes more than 145 peer-reviewed publications, in addition to extensive editorial and refereeing service.
