Biography

Andre Anderko works for OLI Systems as Chief Science Officer. He received his PhD from the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in 1989 and completed postdoctoral research at the University of California in Berkeley in 1992. Prior to joining OLI in 1995, he worked for Simulation Sciences (currently Aveva), Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory and the Polish Academy of Sciences. Andre’s activities at OLI focus on thermodynamic and transport properties of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte systems, modeling of aqueous corrosion of metals, solution chemistry for critical material processes, and simulation technology development. Andre has been responsible for the development of technology that forms the basis of OLI’s Corrosion Analyzer software. He has authored or co-authored more than 130 papers and book chapters and one book. Andre is a Fellow of the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) and is a recipient of the Helmholtz Award of the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (2000) and co-recipient of the R&D100 Award for the Corrosion Analyzer (2007) and two Bengough Awards of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (2006, 2011).
