Aurora Polo-Rodríguez holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of Jaén, Spain (2024), where she also earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science, receiving the Best Final Degree Awards in both programs. Her doctoral thesis, awarded with the cum laude distinction, was complemented by the prestigious Platinum Curriculum Distinction and a competitive research collaboration scholarship. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Granada, she contributes to European, national, and regional R&D initiatives, including PHArA-ON, focused on promoting active and healthy ageing through advanced technological ecosystems. Her research lies at the intersection of Ambient Intelligence, IoT, e-Health, and Artificial Intelligence, particularly emphasising activity recognition, smart environments, and personalized health monitoring in assisted living contexts.
