Dr. Zhou Benjia is an Assistant Professor at Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai Campus. He received his Ph.D. and was formerly an AIGC Image Algorithm Researcher at Tencent GY-Lab. His research focuses on intelligent video analysis and AI-generated digital content. He has published 15+ papers in top-tier venues including TPAMI, CVPR, ICCV, and AAAI, including one Best Paper Award and two first-author papers each cited 120+ times. In AIGC, his character-consistent digital content generation framework leads the industry and powers QQAI products, earning him Tencent’s 60th Oteam Code Contribution Award (0–3 recipients/issue). At Tencent, he was a core contributor to the QQ Avatar generation project. In spatiotemporal representation learning, he introduced disentangled modeling to overcome inefficiencies in traditional methods; this work appeared in IEEE TPAMI and yielded 1st-runner-up in an international gesture recognition competition. Jointly with NORINCO, he deployed an abnormal-behavior detection system. His 3D-CDC spatiotemporal operator, published in IEEE TIP, won the IEEE Finland SP/CAS Best Paper Second Prize and has 140+ citations. In video understanding, he pioneered end-to-end sign-language translation that eliminates gloss annotations, boosting performance dramatically; results were published at ICCV, COLING, and IEEE TCSVT.
