I’m Bacem MNASRI, a Full Professor at the Centre of Biotechnology of Borj Cedria in Tunisia. My research focuses on plant health, microbial ecology, and sustainable agriculture, with particular interest in plant–microbe interactions and beneficial microorganisms. I have contributed to the discovery and characterization of several new bacterial species belonging to the genera Bradyrhizobium (B. tunisiense, B. cedriense) and Rhizobium(R. azibense, R. aouanii and R. acaciae), as well as novel symbiovars associated with diverse legume species (sv. mediterranense, sv. cyanophyllaen and sv. salignae). I also work on plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) and have conducted field inoculation studies to evaluate their effects on legume growth parameters and plant-associated microbiota. I currently supervise four PhD students and two Master’s students and coordinate bilateral and multilateral research projects (Prima, PHC..).
