Prof. Dr. Basilios Tsikouras is currently serving as a Professor of Mineralogy and Petrology, Geosciences, at the Faculty of Science, University Brunei Darussalam. He received his Bachelor’s and PhD degrees in Geology from the University of Patras, Greece, in 1986 and 1992, respectively. He is also the Director of Research, Office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation & Sustainability, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, whereas, in the past, he has also served as the Deputy Dean (Graduate Studies and Research), Faculty of Science, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (2017–2020). He established and managed the Mineralogy, Petrology, and Geochemistry Laboratory (MPG), Faculty of Science, Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Prof. Dr. Basilios Tsikouras’ research interests include Soil and Environmental Geochemistry, Platinum-Group Minerals and the associated Chromitites, Quality Assessment of Aggregates and Industrial Minerals, etc. In addition, Prof. Dr. Basilios Tsikouras is a member of several societies, including the Geological Society of Greece, the Atlantic Geosciences Society, and the Greek Geotechnical Chamber.

Prof. Dr. Basilios Tsikouras is currently serving as a Professor of Mineralogy and Petrology, Geosciences, at the Faculty of Science, University Brunei Darussalam. Honors and Awards

Tsikourasite, a new mineral name
