George D. Bathrellos is a Professor of Geomorphology in the Department of Geology, University of Patras, Greece. He received his academic degrees in Geology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with doctoral research focused on geomorphology, engineering geology, and urban geology. His research interests include geomorphology, applied and engineering geomorphology, natural hazards and disaster management, landslides, floods, erosion, urban geology, spatial planning, and GIS-based environmental assessment. He has published extensively in international scientific journals and has contributed to research on natural-hazard assessment, geomorphological mapping, urban development, and geospatial analysis. He also serves in editorial and academic roles for international scientific journals.
