Vyacheslav Yurievich Beloussov is the current Director of the TreeGene Molecular Genetic Laboratory and a Senior Researcher at the International Center for Vaccinology, Almaty. He received his higher education from the Akmola State Medical Academy with a degree in Biochemistry/Biotechnology in 1998 and was awarded his Ph.D. (Candidate of Biological Sciences) in Virology in 2008. Dr. Beloussov's work experience includes serving in various research roles, including Senior Researcher in Molecular Biology, at the Research Institute for Biological Safety Problems (RIBSP) from 1998 to 2013, and subsequently leading the TreeGene Molecular Genetic Laboratory from 2016 to the present. His current and previous research interests focus on the molecular biology of viruses, molecular diagnostics of microorganisms (including tNGS and real-time PCR development), molecular epizootology, medical genetics (HID, genetic disorders, oncology, PGT), and quality management systems (ISO 15189/17025). He has been involved in several state and international scientific projects, is the author of 50 scientific papers and one monograph, and holds 9 innovative patents for inventions.
