Dr Biraj Kanti Mondal is currently serving as the Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, Netaji Subhas Open University, Kolkata, India. He has been associated with the department for more than 13 years. He has completed his doctoral research on the community development of Sundarban and received his Ph. D. degree from the University of Calcutta. He has published about 45 research articles in various reputed International and National journals, written two books, and edited 3 books. He has expertise in the application of geospatial techniques in various environmental issues for its resilient and sustainable management.
