Borna Abramović is a full professor and Head of the Chair for Railway Transport Management at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb (Croatia). He earned his M.Eng., M.Sc., and Ph.D. from the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences.
He is an active researcher who has participated in numerous scientific projects at both the European Union and Croatian levels, as well as in various studies and reports within Croatia.
He is a member of the Croatian Society for Communication, Computing, Electronics, Measurement, and Automation (KOREMA), the International Association of Railway Operations Research (IAROR), the Croatian Chamber of Transport and Traffic Technology Engineers (HKIP), the Croatian Society of Railway Engineers (HDŽI), and the Croatian Academy of Technical Sciences (HATZ).
He is proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and specialized software tools like SAS, VISUM, VISSIM, RailSys, and OpenTRACK.
His scientific interests include railway traffic organization, railway infrastructure charges, rail freight transport, railway service markets, integrated passenger transport, traffic forecasting, transport demand, and game theory.
