Boxue Du is a Chair Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Tianjin University. He earned his Ph.D. from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology and M.E. from Ibaraki University, Japan. His research focuses on high voltage and insulation engineering, especially polymer dielectrics, power cable insulation, and dielectric failure mechanisms. He has published nearly 1000 papers, including over 310 in IEEE Transactions, and authored Polypropylene Cable Insulation. He is an Elsevier Highly Cited Researcher and serves as Associate Editor for several IEEE journals, leading key national research projects in electrical insulation.
