Later, I did an MSc in Biomedical Research specialising in oncology at the University of Navarra, which allowed me to learn more about scientific methodology and new approaches to cancer treatment and diagnosis through immunotherapy, among others. In fact, during my Master's thesis I worked with humanised- mouse models in the context of cancer immunotherapy in a more translational way. When I finished my master's degree, I wanted to change my perspective with the aim of exploring another field of cancer research. Another more clinical and population-based perspective where I could use the knowledge I had learned on my degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. Therefore, I applied to the PhD Programme in Biomedicine and Applied Medicine at the University of Navarra in 2019 and thanks to the award of a PFIS grant from the Instituto de Salud Carlos III within the AES 2020 strategy, I began my studies as a PhD student in the framework of the Lifebreast Project (NCT04174391).
