Carolina Machado received her Ph.D. degree in Management Sciences (Organizational and Politics Management area/HRM) from the University of Minho in 1999, her Master's degree in Management (Strategic Human Resource Management) from the Technical University of Lisbon in 1994, and her Degree in Business Administration from the University of Minho in 1989. Teaching in Human Resources Management subjects since 1989 at the University of Minho, since 2004 she has been an Associate Professor (with Habilitation since May 2022) with experience and research interest areas in the field of HRM, IHRM, HRM in SMEs, Training and Development, Emotional Intelligence, Management Change, Knowledge Management, and Management/HRM in the Digital Age/Business Analytics. She is Head of the Human Resources Management Work Group at the School of Economics and Management at the University of Minho, Coordinator of Advanced Training Courses at the Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences, Member of the Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences (CICS.NOVA.UMinho), University of Minho, as well as Chief Editor of the International Journal of Applied Management Sciences and Engineering (IJAMSE), guest editor of journals and books, editor and book series editor, as well as reviewer for different international prestigious journals. In addition, she has also published several books, book chapters, and articles in journals and conferences both as editor/co-editor and as author/co-author.
