I work on specialised metabolites of plant (PSM) as an influential parameter on ecosystem functioning and biodiversity maintain: 1) how does the impact of environmental conditions affect the PSM’s production, 2) how PSMs released into the environment affect biodiversity (allelopathy) 3) how does the presence of PSM act on the cycles of matter. I work on this topics on coastal ecosystems and costal lagoons particularly on seagrasses and sea urchins and their importance in ecosystem functioning but also in Mangroves or Mediterranean forests.
