Paul K.S. Chan is a Professor in the Department of Microbiology at the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and an Honorary Consultant in Microbiology for the New Territories East Cluster Hospitals of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority. He is also a partner of the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network. He is a Chairman of the Scientific Committee on Vector-Borne Diseases, Centre for Health Protection, Hong Kong SAR Government. He received the Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service for his outstanding contribution to the fight against COVID-19 in 2022.
