Chao Li received the Ph.D. degree in information and communication systems from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2012. She is currently a Professor of Harbin North- east Forestry University and the director of the Artificial Intelligence Department. She has chaired and completed projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Project. She has long conducted research on signal processing, feature extraction, and multimodal fusion. She was a Visiting Scholar with the Center for Forestry and Natural Re-sources, University of West Virginia, Morgantown, WV, USA. She has authored or coauthored more than 20 SCI/EI retrieval papers with the first author and corresponding author. Dr. Li is currently a Member of the China Computer Federation (CCF) and the Chinese Society of Forestry (CSF).
