Christina Marouli has an interdisciplinary background (biochemistry (B.A.), Urban and environmental policy (M.A.), and sociology (PhD)). She is an educator, with considerable environmental consulting and NGO experience, presently teaching at the Environmental Studies program of Deree - the American College of Greece. She founded and directed for 7 years the Center of Excellence for Sustainability at the American College of Greece. With a Fulbright award, she–in collaboration with a Turkish professor–has done research on multicultural environmental education. Her present research interests focus on Education for Sustainability, education for change, sustainable and smart cities, and food waste.
