Professor Christopher Gan is Head of the Department of
Financial and Business System, Lincoln University, Christchurch, New Zealand. He is an Adjunct Professor at the Mittal School of Business, Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India, and Finance and Economics at the Faculty of Economics & Business, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, Indonesia. He is the Minjiang Scholar, Distinguished Professor in the College of Economics and Finance at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. Fuzhou, China. He is a visiting professor at the International Department, Chonnam National University, Gwangju, South Korea since 2017. Prof. Gan has over 250 journal publications (most of which are in Web of Science Clarivate Analytics and Scopus) and chapters in books and edited and fully refereed conference proceedings volumes, is the associate editor of International Journal of Bank Marketing, a member of the Editorial Boards of 15+ international journals, and has guest co-edited special issues of the following Web of Science Clarivate Analytics or Scopus journals: Sustainability (MDPI), Energies (MDPI) and Journal of Risk and Financial Management (MDPI) and Journal of Financial Economic Policy (Emerald Pub). His research areas include applied economics, quantitative finance, risk and financial management, banking, microfinance, Asian financial economics. He won several awards for excellence in teaching including the New Zealand National Teaching Excellence Award.
