Cosmin Iulian Codrea is a research assistant at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Romanian Academy. He holds MSc (2011) and BSc (2009) diplomas in environmental sciences from the University of Bucharest (Faculty of Biology), Romania, where his research focused on water quality and microbiology. He worked from 2013–2018 in the private pharmaceutical manufacturing sector as a microbiologist for two companies. He is a PhD student at Politehnica University of Bucharest with a focus on developing 3D-printed bone grafts using nanocomposite biomaterials. His main area of expertise is in microbiology with a focus on the characterization of biomaterials.
