Costas Vassilakis is a Professor in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of the Peloponnese, in the area of Information Systems, and Director of the M.Sc. in Computer Science. He holds a degree from the Department of Informatics from the University of Athens and a Ph.D. from the same department. He has published over 250 scientific papers in international scientific journals and conferences and has participated in more than 30 European and national research and development projects. He has served as a PC member and a referee in several international journals and conferences. His research interests include information systems, system architectures, computer security, precision agriculture, virtual and mixed reality systems, semantic web technologies and applications, and cultural informatics.
