Dr. Daniel A. Griffith is a Professor of Geospatial Analysis at the School of Economic, Political, and Policy Sciences, University of Texas at Dallas. He completed his Ph.D. in Geography at the University of Toronto in 1978 and his M.S. in Statistics from The Pennsylvania State University in 1985. He is a Fellow of the Regional Science Association International and a past president of the North American Regional Science Council. He has authored 17 books and more than 200 papers, including articles in geography, regional science, statistics, and mathematics journals, as well as 22 book chapters. His research interests include spatial statistics, quantitative/urban/economic geography, applied statistics, statistical consulting, and research proposal design.
