Prof. Dr. David A. Roberson is an Associate Professor at The University of Texas at El Paso. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in 1999, a Master's of Science in
Metallurgical Engineering in 2001, and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering in 2012, all from The University of Texas at El Paso. He has employment experience as a Defect Metrology Engineer for Intel Corporation and Qimonda NA. His areas of expertise include materials characterization with a strong
emphasis on electron microscopy. Dr. Roberson currently directs the Polymer Extrusion Lab at The University of Texas at El Paso, where his main focus is on the development and characterization of novel feedstock materials for additive manufacturing platforms. His areas of interest include materials characterization, additive manufacturing, failure analysis, shape memory polymers, environmentally sustainable polymers, and polymer degradation.
