Dimitra A.
Lambropoulou is an Associate Professor of Environmental Chemistry in the
Environmental Pollution Control Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, Aristotle
University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). Now she participates in the Environmental
Committee of the AUTH and she guides the toxic and lab waste management at the
University. She is employed as an external assessor and expert in the Hellenic
Accreditation System S.A., which has the distinctive title “ESYD”. She holds a
Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Ioannina in 2002. Her main research
interests are the development and application of novel sample preparation
techniques coupled with advanced mass spectrometry approaches in the field of
environmental chemistry, the design and application of new materials in
analytical and separation sciences, occurrence, transport, fate and effects of
emerging contaminants in the environment, environmental and food safety,
identification and structure elucidation of organic pollutants by
high-resolution mass spectrometry, application of “omics” techniques to
environmental and food problems. She serves as Associate Editor in the journal
Science of Total Environment. Her name is included in the list of the World's
Top 2% Scientists for 2019, 2020 and 2021 which is compiled by Stanford University
(USA) based on standardized citation indicators. She is a Reviewer in more than
100 scientific journals (ACS, Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, Taylor & Francis,
etc.).
