Information

Dimitra A. Lambropoulou is an Associate Professor of Environmental Chemistry in the Environmental Pollution Control Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). Now she participates in the Environmental Committee of the AUTH and she guides the toxic and lab waste management at the University. She is employed as an external assessor and expert in the Hellenic Accreditation System S.A., which has the distinctive title “ESYD”. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Ioannina in 2002. Her main research interests are the development and application of novel sample preparation techniques coupled with advanced mass spectrometry approaches in the field of environmental chemistry, the design and application of new materials in analytical and separation sciences, occurrence, transport, fate and effects of emerging contaminants in the environment, environmental and food safety, identification and structure elucidation of organic pollutants by high-resolution mass spectrometry, application of “omics” techniques to environmental and food problems. She serves as Associate Editor in the journal Science of Total Environment. Her name is included in the list of the World's Top 2% Scientists for 2019, 2020 and 2021 which is compiled by Stanford University (USA) based on standardized citation indicators.
