The current research aims to investigate the effectiveness of brain-rewiring techniques applied in virtual reality environments as a pioneer intervention for people with learning disabilities and various disorders. In addition, we examine whether these VR-assisted techniques can improve metacognitive skills. Specifically, we emphasize the advantage of VR clinical hypnosis, VR neurolinguistic programming, VR subliminal training, VR fast learning, VR mindfulness, and VR breathing training. The results of this review study revealed that virtual reality provides a fertile ground for the practice of therapeutic metacognitive techniques. In addition, experimental research revealed beneficial effects on learning disabilities, cognitive impairments, autism, ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), depression, generalized anxiety disorder, phobias, and behavioral and emotional disorders. It was revealed that VR brain-rewiring techniques constitute effective metacognitive strategies for people with various disorders. Therapists, educators, parents, and even patients could utilize VR brain-rewiring techniques at home, at school, or in the workplace to train the 21st-century meta-abilities. This study also highlights the need to create virtual metacognitive training environments to accelerate inclusion, equity, and peak performance.

Emotional Intelligence (EI) has been an important and controversial topic during the last few decades. Its significance and its correlation with many domains of life has made it the subject of expert study. EI is the rudder for feeling, thinking, learning, problem-solving, and decision-making. In this article, we present an emotional–cognitive based approach to the process of gaining emotional intelligence and thus, we suggest a nine-layer pyramid of emotional intelligence and the gradual development to reach the top of EI.

Educators define three factors of interaction or as they refer to the 3 C's in education: Children (children), Community (communication), and Computer (computers) [1]. Information and Communication Technologies are an integral tool of the educational process for modern educational systems, helping the learning process to turn from passive to active, pushing each student to learn independence and autonomy. In recent years, the sciences of education have turned their attention and have already recognized the importance of games and even digital games as a learning tool, emphasizing the benefits for students with or without educational needs.

Students with Specific Learning Disabilities, tend to have low academic performance because of the cognitive disorders and deficits of their working memory, as well as executing fuctions like these of processing - organizing and recalling information. Development of the Metacognitive skills, like those that presented by Drigas & Mitsea (2020), as 8 pillars of Metacognition, such as self-Awareness, self-Monitoring and Self-Regulation, helping these students recognize their weaknesses and introduce strategies and tactics will assist them to compensate their cognitive deficits, by becoming more flexible and adapt to any changes coming up, better. STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) education involves students in the education process, via a multifaceted and multi-sensory approach of to develop Meta-cognitive Skills, control the way they learn while building up the necessary knowledge, in order to secure equal academic and career opportunities. As a result, their independence and self-esteem being boosted preparing them to come up against 21st century challenges.

Clinical hypnosis is becoming increasingly recognized as a valuable clinical intervention for a wide range of psychological and medical problems. The current review paper seeks to determine the role of clinical hypnosis in learning difficulties, emotional or behavioral problems and physical disabilities. In addition, we co-examine the effectiveness of virtual/augmented reality hypnosis. Finally, we discuss the possible uses of clinical hypnosis within the educational settings. The results showed that hypnosis may hold the keys for new types of metacognitive strategies based on non-verbal pathways of effortless self-regulation.
