Dr. Luis Adrián De Jesús-González is a Researcher at the Mexican Institute of Social Security. He is involved in the analysis of cellular mechanisms and components used by Coronaviridae such as SARS-CoV-2 and Flaviviridae family members, such as Dengue, Zika, and Yellow Fever viruses, to enter, replicate, inhibit the cellular immune response, and exit the host cell. This study has allowed us to find cellular factors that favor and others that avoid viral multiplication in infected cells. With this information, he and his collaborators have identified molecules and components capable of blocking viral infection, focusing on virology, emerging diseases, teaching, antiviral therapies, vaccines, bioinformatics, and clinical trials. He has published more than 48 documents and his h-index is 19 with 678 citations (Scopus).
