Dr Debashis Puhan holds a PhD from Imperial College London and an M.Tech from IIT Delhi, and has held research positions at the University of Sheffield, University of Cambridge and Imperial College London. His research focuses on tribology and lubrication science, with particular interests in polymer composites, triboemission, bio-tribology, and electric vehicle (EV) drivetrain systems. His work bridges fundamental friction and wear mechanisms with applied engineering challenges, contributing to the development of more efficient, durable, and sustainable mechanical systems. He has published in leading tribology and materials science journals and continues to collaborate across academic and industrial partners in the field.
