Dr. Declan F. McCole is a Professor at the University of California, Riverside. He received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Veterinary Medical Research from University College Dublin, Ireland 1997, for his work on host responses to infection with Fasciola hepatica. He conducted postdoctoral research in the Division of Gastroenterology, at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Declan F. McCole was promoted to assistant project scientist in 2004, and in 2009 to assistant professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at UCSD. He was recruited in the first faculty cohort to join the new medical school at UCR in 2013. He was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2015, and to Full Professor in 2019.
