Diganta B Das finished his Bachelor of Engineering degree (Chemical Engineering) at Rajasthan University, India (1996), and PhD (Chemical Engineering) at Loughborough University, UK (2001). He has authored/co-authored more than 150 peer-reviewed journal publications in addition to co-authoring/co-editing seven books. He sits on the Engineering Panel for the Newton Fund administered by the British Council, UK, and he was the Founding Secretary, Vice-Chair elect, and Chair of the International Water Association's specialist group on Multiphase Flow and Transport in Porous Media. Additionally, he has served as an editor and associate editor of the journals Water Science and Technology and Water Supply (IWA Publisher) since 2007. He is also a member of the editorial board of two other journals (Clean Technologies, Pharmaceutics).
