Dr. Chiemela Victor Amaechi

Dr Victor is a Lecturer with years of teaching experience in the UK's HEIs. He has worked as a Researcher and Associate Lecturer at Lancaster University. He also carried out postdoctoral research at UNITEN, Malaysia. His research work includes sustainability, construction management, marine hose hydrodynamics, and composite risers design for the offshore industry. He uses a variety of software: Orcaflex, ANSYS AQWA, ANSYS ACP, ANSYS Fluent, Simscale, SolidWorks, etc. He has a BEng degree in Civil Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria; an MSc degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ibadan; and a PhD from Lancaster University, Lancaster, UK, a top 10 UK institution. He is an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. He has served on different technical committees, presented at international conferences, written research papers and review papers in high-impact journals, and authored books. He has also lectured at Lancaster University, UK and Blackpool and The Fylde College, UK and has a Bath Spa Uni partnership. He is a registered engineer with COREN, NSE, NSBE, ASME, ICE, RINA, and IMechE. He is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, AFHEA, and the present secretary of IMechE's North Lancashire Young Members Panel. He is a Standards Engineer with the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON), Abuja, Nigeria. He has collaborated with researchers at Dunlop, LiNA Energy, Siemens, BEA, Coventry University UK, Tsinghua University China, etc.
