Dr. Edith Lara-Carrillo

Dr. Edith Lara-Carrillo has graduated from the School of Dentistry at Autonomous University of Mexico State. She obtained two masters and a Ph.D. at the same University with an MBA in Health Systems, Orthodontics, and Dental Sciences. Since 1997, she has been professor in the School of Dentistry. Dr. Lara-Carrillo was the first lady Principal at her Faculty of Dentistry and was recognized in the National System of Researchers and National Society of Dental Researchers. She is considered the Mexican orthodontist female who has published the most articles in this area; she practices orthodontics in private practice as a certified Orthodontist by the Mexican Association of Orthodontics. Actually, she is reviewer for several international journals and has participated as an author and coauthor in more than 80 indexed papers nationally and internationally. In the same way, she has published more than 30 books and book chapters. Dr. Lara-Carrillo has demonstrated evidence of accomplishment, productivity, independence, collaboration, expertise, and scientific abilities. She is a national and international speaker, mainly in areas such as Epidemiology, Biomaterials, Oral environment, Dental Sciences, and Orthodontics.
