Assoc. Prof Elchin Suleymanov holds a bachelor degree in Finance from Dokuz Eylul University Turkey and a Ph.D. in economics from UNEC Azerbaijan. Elchin Suleymanov is Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population in Azerbaijan. He worked as head of the Department of Finance and Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs at Baku Engineering University. He is an expert in the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. His areas of interest include public finance, macroeconomic policy, energy economics, etc. He is the winner of the "Scientist of the Year 2016" award in the Humanitarian and Social Sciences category of the competition organized by the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (EIF). His articles have been published in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Economic Modelling, and Economies at MDPI and others.
