My name is Elica Bogomilova Valkova and I am Associate Professor PhD of Biochemistry at the Department of Biological Sciences at the Faculty of Agriculture of Trakia University, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. I defended my doctorate in Biochemistry at the Faculty of Agriculture of Trakia University, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. I have been the head of 5 scientific projects in the field of biochemistry of hydrobionts. I have published articles of high factor and rank in various journals of the MDPI consortium related to the results of these projects. The subjects I teach include the following keywords: heavy metals, waters, hydrobionts, sediments, plants, reproduction, toxicants, and biotechnology. My scientific interests are related to the following keywords: heavy metals and their impact on hydrobionts and humans, hydro-ecosystems, waters, sediments, hydrobionts, aquatic plants, mussels, fish, crustaceans, reproduction, the impact of some insecticides on fish, and biotechnology.
