Elisa Bolatti, PhD, is a molecular virologist and Researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), Argentina, specializing in molecular and genomic epidemiology, viral metagenomics, and bioinformatics. She earned her PhD in Biological Sciences from the National University of Rosario (UNR), where she is also involved in research and academic activities. Her work focuses on virus discovery, viral evolution, and One Health surveillance at the human–animal–environment interface, with a particular emphasis on bat-associated viruses. She also develops innovative molecular diagnostic tools for emerging viral diseases, including dengue. Dr. Bolatti has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications in virology, genomics, and infectious diseases and has contributed to national and international collaborative research projects. Her research has been supported through competitive grants and research funding from national and international agencies, recognizing the scientific quality and translational potential of her work. She is committed to advancing virology research and promoting scientific excellence through rigorous peer review and editorial service.
