Dr. Enas Ismail is an NRF Y-rated researcher (2023-2027). She received her Ph.D. degree in physics from The University of South Africa, South Africa in 2017. She has been awarded the DSI/NRF Innovation and the NRF freestanding postdoctoral fellowships during the period 2019-2023. She has been hosted as a postdoctoral fellow at The University of The Western Cape and Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa. Dr. Ismail is a materials science specialist, with 10+ years of research experience. She has authored and co-authored a number of book chapters and articles; co-supervised 6 postgraduate students; collaborated with different research groups nationally and internationally; been awarded four fellowships from ASRT, UNESCO, and NRF; and participated in different international conferences. Dr. Ismail has 5+ years of academic teaching experience in physics and biophysics. Over the last two years, she has taught 600+ undergraduates from different science and engineering departments at CPUT, Cape Town.
