Dr. FATIMA CHGOURY - Biography Toxicologist researcher at the Pasteur Institute of Morocco in Casablanca, specializing in scorpion and ophidian envenomation. Our research work initially focuses on improving antivenom therapy strategies. It is based on the structural, functional, and pathophysiological characterization of venom toxins, as well as on the engineering of antidotes with high neutralizing potential. A second research axis focuses on the identification and valorization of venom-derived biomolecules for therapeutic purposes, particularly for the development of new approaches against major diseases such as microbial infections, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.
