Dr. He has been a Principal Investigator and Professor at the School of Integrative Medicine and the Academy of Integrative Medicine, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, since 2020, where he also founded and directs the Cancer Research Center. He earned his B.Sc. in 2005 and completed his M.Sc. studies in 2007, both from Lanzhou University. He then pursued his doctoral training in the United States, receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 2013. From 2014 to 2020, he conducted his postdoctoral research at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine (UCSD Medicine), a period during which he deepened his expertise in disease mechanisms and molecular pharmacology. Dr. He's research program is primarily dedicated to investigating the molecular mechanisms of cellular stress responses and regulatory cell death, with a strong translational focus on the pathogenesis, prevention, and therapeutic strategies for fatty liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. His work has contributed significantly to understanding the complex signaling networks underlying liver pathogenesis. Dr. He actively serves the scientific community as a reviewer, editor, or associate editor for several international journals, including Science Advances and the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer.
