Dr. Aimin Liu (Feradical) is a protein chemist and enzymologist. He is Lutcher Brown Distinguished Professor in Biochemistry at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Originally from Mainland China with a bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China, he received a doctorate from Stockholm University in Sweden. Aimin also received training at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne as a Royal Society Fellow and at the University of Minnesota as a Postdoctoral Associate. He was a Distinguished University Professor at Georgia State University. His research interest is centered around the mechanistic understanding of those enzymes oxidizing or metabolizing amino acids.
