Research scientist with extensive expertise in molecular biology, cell biology and biotechnology. My main research interests are the use of in vitro models to understand cell-mediated responses to pathogens and their application in the development of tools against infectious diseases in aquaculture and other biological systems. I have worked in the study of immune-endocrine cell interactions in fish, both in species of commercial interest and in model species, using molecular and histological tools. Actually, I work as a professor at the Paulista State University of Brazil in projects to development the aquaculture of Oreochromis niloticus. I also have a great experience in education as a teacher.
