Fuad Fares completed his M.Sc and D.Sc studies at the Faculty of Medicine, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and postdoctoral studies at the Department of Molecular Biology and Pharmacology, School of Medicine, Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He developed the Molecular Genetic Laboratory at Carmel Medical Center, Haifa, Israel and the founder of PROLOR Biotech, a start up company for developing long-acting recombinant proteins. He has been head of the Molecular Genetic Laboratory at the Department of Human Biology, University of Haifa, Israel since 2004 and currently teaches genetic engineering at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
