George K. Adam is a certified electrical/electronics engineer who graduated from the Sofia Technical University, Bulgaria (integrated master, 1989), and holds a PhD in computer science from Strathclyde University, UK (1993). Currently, he is a professor and director of the Computer Systems Lab in the Department of Digital Systems, University of Thessaly, Greece. He has published work in more than 100 international scientific journals and conference proceedings. He is a member of several technical committees and scientific associations (including IEEE and ACM). His research interests focus on computer systems design, computer architectures and applications, real-time control systems, and mechatronics.
