Biography

My research focuses on agricultural and food economics, with particular attention to sustainable development, consumer behavior, and market dynamics in agri-food systems. My academic interests include horticultural economics, sustainability transitions in agriculture, demand analysis, willingness to pay for sustainable attributes, labeling and certification, and the role of local development in enhancing the competitiveness of rural areas. I am also interested in applied econometrics and quantitative methods for the analysis of consumer preferences, farmers’ decision-making, and agri-food market strategies. In recent years, my work has explored topics such as bio-districts, agroecological transitions, sustainable consumption, and the economic and social implications of innovation in agriculture. More broadly, I am interested in interdisciplinary research that connects environmental sustainability, market behavior, and policy design, with the aim of supporting more resilient and inclusive agri-food systems.
